The Little Prince was written in French by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, who also did the beautiful illustrations you will enjoy throughout the book. Luckily, it has been translated by Katherine Woods, who did a wonderful job.
The Little Prince is about a magical young boy who tells a story of how he has travelled from planet to planet meeting all sorts of people. But the book isn’t really about him. It’s more about the meaning behind the story and all of the messages that come with it. Lots of the messages have to do with the many differences between children and adults, and how we start to care more about things like what we perceive as “matters of great consequence” and how we stop asking questions like “why do flowers have thorns if they don’t help them at all?”

Six Word Review (well okay, seven): Little boy makes you think a lot.
I started reading this because I had read it several years before and I remember it making me feel better. I have been dealing with a lot of stress lately and books have always helped me escape, even if it’s only 100 pages worth of escape-age.
If the Little Prince was on a desert island he would: contemplate why he was there, and talk to the people there about life and stuff. When he felt satisfied he would just fly to a different planet because he can do that.

The only thing I don’t like is that it could have been longer. I highly recommend this book for anyone going through tough times or an adult that needs a reminder of what being a kid feels like.
